The market research and data analytics (分析学) company You Gov asked 4,343 people about life after the lockdown ends. The company said they were surprised by the people's answers. Only nine percent of Britons want life to return to "normal" (正常状态) after the coronavirus (冠状病毒) outbreak is over. This means 91 percent want life to be different to how it was before the pandemic (大流行病) started. Over half of people (54%) said they hoped to change the way they live their lives. • 23、Choose the best answer(根据短文内容,选择最恰当的答案):

A private middle school in Britain has stopped morning lessons and moved lessons to start at 1:30 p.m. every day. Its teachers believed their students would study better after a good rest.

Instead of rising early for a 9 a.m. start, students at Hampton Court House in Surrey, can enjoy a lie in and work from 1.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Head teacher Guy Holloway said the move was from the study by neuroscientists (神经系统科学家).

According to the study, teenagers usually go to bed late and struggle to get up early. So, many teenagers do not get enough sleep during the weekdays and this can, and often does, have a great influence on teenagers’ mental and physical health (身心健康).

The new move began from September last year and the students think it’s quite good. The students have become more efficient and less stressed (压力). They can learn better. They can also avoid rush-hour traffic. This school has the latest start time in the U.K. and is the only one to begin lessons in the afternoon.

The 10th grade student Gabriel Purcell-Davis is one of the first groups of students to start class at the later time. The 15-year-old boy likes the idea. He said, “Finally, I can wake up in my bed, not in my maths lesson.”

1It takes__________ for Hampton Court House students to have lessons a day.

A.more than five hours. B.five hours

C.four and a half hours D.less than five hours

2How does lack (缺乏) of sleep influence teenagers, according to the study?

A.Teenagers may go to bed late. B.Teenagers may be excited at night.

C.Teenagers may have a poor memory (记忆力). D.Teenagers may feel less stressed in study.

3The underlined word “efficient” in the fourth paragraph probably means__________.
