21、When you sleep, can you know that you are dreaming? If yes, then you are having a lucid dream (清醒梦). This is hard for most people to do. Only some people are able to do this. Now scientists have found ways to help more people to have lucid dreams, Live Science reported.
Denholm Aspy, from the University of Adelaide in Australia, found that certain skills (技巧) are key to helping people have lucid dreams.
First, people train themselves to figure out (搞清) whether they are dreaming or not. People can practice a skill for this in real life. For example, someone may look at a clock, look away, and then look back. The time should stay the same. Then, they might dream about this skill while sleeping. But in their dreams, the time on the clock may change very quickly. So people know they are dreaming.
Another skill is to wake up after five hours of sleep. Then, stay awake for a while. During this time, repeat (重复) the words, “The next time I’m dreaming, I will remember that I’m dreaming.” Then, go to bed again to enter rapid eye movement (REM,快速眼球运动) sleep. In REM sleep, people are more likely to be aware of their dreams.
Scientists found that those who used these skills had a 17 percent success rate for having lucid dreams. This was far higher than if they did nothing.
In a lucid dream, people might study a hobby and then become better at that hobby in real life, according to Aspy. If you might learn to play the piano in a lucid dream, you might play the piano better in real life!
【1】How many skills are mentioned to help people have lucid dreams?
A.One.
B.Two.
C.Three.
D.Four.

A.They can stare at a clock for a while.
B.They should practice skills in real life.

【3】What can we learn from Paragraph 4?
A.People should wake up from dreams for a while every night.
B.Repeating several words can help people realize they are dreaming.
C.In REM sleep, people can’t know what they are dreaming of.
D.Lucid dreams might help people become better at that hobby in real life.
【4】What is the main purpose (目的) of the story?
A.To explain why people need enough sleep.
B.To teach people how to have a good REM sleep.
C.To show people how to learn wisely and learn well.
D.To introduce ways to help people to have lucid dreams.
22、The Chinese embassy in the U.S. hosted a “My Questions to Taikonauts(中国航天员)” event on Saturday, April 9. Here are some questions from American students and answers recorded by the taikonauts ahead of their planned return from space this month.
Kid 1: Hello! My name is Skyla. I am from Utah. Where does water come from in space?
Ye Guangfu: The water on the space station comes from the earth. However, all the water we use is recycled(回收利用). For example, this bag of water in my hand is recycled. It tastes no different from ordinary water. We make the best use of every drop of water and we have enough water to use.
Kid 2: Hi, my name is Zoey Cardamone. I think being an astronaut is so cool. I have two questions. First do you exercise in the space station?
Zhai Zhigang: We mainly use treadmills(跑台)and bikes. Outside of work, we can use resistance bands(阻力器)anywhere anytime.
Kid 3: Hi, I am Anasophia. What do you eat in space?
Wany Yaping: The food prepared for us is what we usually eat on Earth, including some fresh fruit. It provides a balanced diet rich in vitamins. During the long mission time, we celebrated some traditional Chinese festivals and had some traditional Chinese foods, such as dumplings, moon cakes, etc. You should try Chinese food when you have the chance too. It will be a wonderful experience.
Kid 2: Out of work, what do you do for fun?
Zhai Zhigang: What amazes us the most is seeing our beautiful earth through the viewing window. In our spare time, we can call our families and watch TV. Not long ago, we followed the Beijing Winter Olympics!
Kid 3: What was the biggest problem you faced when you were in space? Thank you.
Wang Yaping: The main problems I faced came from day-to-day life. For example, we always feel like we are standing when we sleep, so we have to put our hands in a sleeping bag. I am a running love, and I miss running outdoors on sunny afternoons. Moreover, as a mother, I miss my daughter very much.
