24、Edith Cavell was born in a little English village. She was a clever, hard-working girl and did well at school, especially in music and French. After she left school, her first job was to take care of the children of a rich family in Belgium（比利时）. The language they spoke was French, so she found that her school studies were useful. Some quick recommendations: Harry Potter, start with the first book and go on from there; the Narnia series; and if you like horror, Stephen King’s novels are always unusual and fun. But really you should just find a topic or writer that you’re interested in, and the rest will go from there. Happy reading!

Every year since then, many different events have been held around the world. In 2014.
