Today，roller skating(滑旱冰)is easy and fun．But，before 1750，the idea of skating didn’t exist(存在)．That changed because of a man named Joseph Merlin．Merlin’s work was making musical instruments．

26、On a rainy day, about 150 volunteers worked for eight hours to clean up Carson Creek that is near a river. About nine tons of trash was taken out from there. 

“We did a good job,” said Alan Specter, the organizer of the event. “We’re planning to come back here one more time, three years from now. Of course, we hope that there won’t be so much trash next time.”

27、When I was a junior high school student in 1980 , God gave me a gift —it was happiness. One weekend , I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. On my way home , a car ran over me and cut off my arm because of its high speed .
