21、Choose the best answer according to the short passage.
Do teenagers in small villages do chores at home? How about the teenagers in big cities? Here is a survey. We asked 4,000 teenagers in China several questions. Half of them come from big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The others are from small villages. We made a diagram of the result of our survey. Let’s have a look at it. We found out that teenagers from small villages do more chores than those from big cities. Maybe it is because they live a harder life. Our advice to parents in big cities is that parents should give their children some chores to do. Doing chores teaches teenagers to take care of themselves.
Chores | 2,000 teenagers in small villages | 2,000 teenagers in big cities |
Take out the trash | 1,600 | 1,000 |
Sweep the floor | 1,200 | 850 |
Make the bed | 1,400 | 750 |
Do the dishes | 1,000 | 400 |

22、Can you imagine astronauts’ everyday life in space? They also need to eat, sleep, exercise and relax. They do the same things as us, but they do them differently.
On Earth, we put food on a plate. Gravity holds the food down and keeps it on a place. But there is almost no gravity in space, so food can float(漂浮) away, and astronauts must eat carefully.
Sleeping is very different in space. Some astronauts like to float in the air, but most like to be in a sleeping bag. They tie the bag to a wall so that they won’t float away at night.
Exercise is very important in space. On Earth, your legs carry your body, but in space, astronauts float, so they do not use their legs often. This is very bad for their legs, so they must exercise for thirty minutes every day.
After a day’s work, astronauts relax. They may listen to music, read, watch films, play games, or talk to their friends and families on the radio. Sometimes they just enjoy floating in the air.
【1】What does the underlined word “gravity” mean in Chinese?
A. 平衡 B. 力量 C. 磁性 D. 重力
【2】Why do astronauts tie the sleeping bag to a wall?
A. Because in that way they won’t float away.
B. Because that makes them sleep well.
C. Because they can’t get to sleep if they don't do that.
D. Because the sleeping bag is not safe enough.
【3】What’s the main idea of the passage?
A. It is about the importance of gravity.
B. It is about astronauts’ everyday life in space.
C. It is about the differences between space and Earth.

24、As space science develops, man has learned more and more about space. Space is not only amazing but also dangerous. While working in space, spacemen are facing danger as well as success. Scientists have found out that the radiation(辐射)is the greatest danger to spacemen in space. When spacemen are working in space, they are in danger of the radiation from the Sun and other stars, which is bad for their health. The harm of the radiation won’t be found until their children even grandchildren are born. Some special medicine may work a little, but no really effective medicine has been found so far.
Space rubbish is also thought to be a great danger to spacemen. It’s reported that there were 9, 000 man-made things flying in space. About 30% of these are satellites, 10% are spaceships, and the rest are space rubbish. An explosion(爆炸)in space in 1999 made a cloud of 300, 000 fragments, each at least 4mm in size. A small piece of these even knocked a spaceship window and caused some damage(损坏).
Scientists are watching and reporting any possible danger all the time. They are working to deal with space rubbish. Although space is really dangerous, it interests many people on the Earth. In the near future, it may be possible for people to spend a few days in a space hotel. We may even choose to leave the Earth and live in space in a few years. So we should do something to help improve the space environment.

A.
B.
C.
D.
【2】To spacemen, the radiation from the Sun and other stars is ________

C.useful
D.harmful

B.Every one of us can have a travel to space in ten years.
