24、Born in the 2000s, you are called the oh-ohs. Then what do you think of your generation (一代人)? Maybe you feel proud of yourselves—young, creative, connected, global, smart, or maybe good-looking? But what do other people think about your generation?
Some adults worry that you’re more interested in the phone than the world around you. They see you as the “face-down generation” and wonder how you will deal with school, friends, and family. Are today’s teenagers too busy texting and taking selfies(自拍)to become successful in real life—or “IRL”, as you would say?
Other adults worry that today’s youth are spoiled and don’t want to face the challenges of adult life. Many children born in the 1990s and 2000s were raised by “helicopter parents” who were always there to guide and help their children with a busy schedule(日程表)such as dancing, painting and so on. With parents doing everything for them, today’s young people seem to prefer to live like teenagers even when they are in their 20s or 30s.
Does the face-down generation need a heads-up? Well, probably not. The fact is that many of today’s teenagers are better educated and more creative than past generations. They also seem to be willing to become leaders. More young people than ever volunteer to serve their communities. There are also brave young people such as Malala Yousafzai, the teenager who won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize for pushing girls’ rights to go to school.
So if you are one of them born in the 2000s, there’s reason to be hopeful about the future. Things are looking up for the face-down generation. It’s possible that you will do great.

26、Ever wondered what the inside of your stomach looks like? Now you can see it with a new invention — InsideOut. Inventors have used it to give patients who need endoscopy a real-time (实时的) video of their insides to help take the worry out of healthcare.
Endoscopy is a medical examination used in healthcare for doctors to look inside the body with a special camera to check for disease. By swallowing InsideOut — a tiny video capsule (胶囊), patients are given the chance to watch the video on a screen about their insides and “play” video-type games with their own body. It means that they can see the capsule moving inside their body and use their body to move it from side to side.
InsideOut is designed by Monash University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and Deakin University. Monash PhD student Zhuying Li helped design the technology and said it was about making patients see their healthcare in a different and fun light. “Patients usually can’t look at the inside of their body in real time. So what if they could?” she explained. “It made us think about if we could make a serious medical process more interesting.”
Endoscopy is common and simple, but it can often cause worry as patients don’t know what is happening inside. InsideOut can not only give patients a look at their own body, but also break down barriers (隔阂) between doctors and patients. Although it has only been tested in healthy people, researchers are hopeful it could soon be used in hospitals and even non-medical settings.
“In the future, we think patients in endoscopy can benefit from this and inspire future design to make other medical processes more interesting. And designers can be inspired to use technologies to let people know more about their body,” Ms Li said.
【1】Why did researchers invent InsideOut?
A.To take patients’ physical pain out of healthcare.
B.To shoot a video of patients’ insides.
C.To study the inside of the human body.
D.To let patients see their insides.
【2】What’s Paragraph 2 mainly about?
A.The way InsideOut works.
B.The worries the patients have.

D.The games the patients are allowed to play.
【3】InsideOut can ________.
A.free patients from endoscopy
B.help doctors find disease more easily
C.improve relations between doctors and patients
D.let people know about their physical condition clearly
