21、Do you want to know PE classes in other countries? In China, students must have PE tests both in middle school and high school. To get good grades on the PE tests, Chinese students will need to run and do sit-ups and pull-ups(引体向上). However, this is not the way that PE classes work in US high schools.
In US high school, we must take two semesters(学期)of PE. We play real sports during PE classes, such as basketball and volleyball. There are also kickball and dodgeball(躲避球) and some other special American sports. I didn’t know the rules of kickball and dodgeball when I first came to the US. The teacher let me sit on the sidelines and watch how other students played it in order to let me know the rules.
We also learn some useful life skills in PE. Last year, I learned how to do CPR(心肺复苏). We also learned how to provide first aid(急救)to someone. These skills are a large part of the final grade for the PE class in my high school. We also learn self-defense (自卫) in PE classes, such as tae kwon do(跆拳道), karate(空手道)skills and Chinese kung fu. It is helpful.
I prefer PE classes in the US to the ones in China. I think they are more fun and useful. What do you think?

22、 Lots of boys dream of flying airplanes when they grow up. But only a few can say they have made their dreams come true when they are still teenagers. At the age of 19, Luke Elsworth is already a flying traveler around the world.
As a child, Elsworth enjoyed playing with toy planes and had pictures of planes on the walls in his bedroom. His father, who has been a pilot for 32 years, often took him to watch his air shows. At one show, he asked his son what he wanted to be in the future. Young Elsworth answered all he wanted to do was following his father's step—being a pilot.
Elsworth became an air cadet(空乘学员) on his 13th birthday. Five years later, he signed up for Easy Jet's pilot training program in Southampton. There, Elsworth spent almost all of his free time practicing again and again and he felt there's no regret(遗憾). “It is common for us young people to have big dreams,” he said, “but to make them come true, we need to act bigger.”
When people question him if he feels he is too young to be a pilot, Elsworth says age isn't so important when it comes to a qualified(合格的) and responsible(负责的) pilot. He even encourages(鼓励) young people to do what they want to do. “If there is a train driver who is 18 and has passed all the training tests. I will believe in him,” says Elsworth.

Eat with others. It can help you to see others’ healthy eating habits. If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.
Listen to your body: Ask yourself if you are really hungry. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty- sometimes you are just thirsty: you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full.
Eat breakfast: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After you don’t eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to get going. You will be smarter after eating breakfast.
Eat healthy snacks like fruits or cheese: We need snacks sometimes. In fact, it’s a good idea to eat healthy snacks between your three meals. This doesn’t mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal.
Don’t eat dinner late: With our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last moment. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest (消化) most of the food before you rest for the next 8—10 hours.
