Box-office monster “Zootopia” has been called the “most Easter egg-packed(彩蛋) movie ever made by Disney”. One of its Easter eggs comes to the species of the news anchor seen on the film’s ZNN channel. Depending on where in the world you’re watching “Zootopia”, the type of animals hosting may change.
Zootopia went a step further to make the different versions (版本). In the US, Canada, France, the news anchor is moose(麋鹿). In Brazil, it’s a jaguar(美洲虎). Australia and New Zealand get a koala; while Chinese audiences see a giant panda.
User Reviews
What can I say…. I’m a huge Disney fan. Maybe not like my friend over at Reviewing All 54 Disney Animated Films. And More!, the Disney cartoons have been a big part of my life. So, in a sense, the Disney animated features are a big deal to me.
Whether young or old, Zootopia’s story carries a powerful and thematic commentary message that’s highly valued and relative (especially in today’s world). As Judy Hopps says in the movie “Life’s a little bit messy. We all make mistakes. No matter what type of animal you are, change starts with you.” And I can’t agree more with that statement.
【1】 In the film, the animal hosting turns into a ___________ if you live in Sydney.
A. koala B. giant panda
C. moose D. jaguar
【2】Who is one of the directors of the film?
A. Jared Bush B. Rich Moore
C. Idris Elba D. Ginnifer Goodwin
【3】You can probably spot this article in a(n) ___________.
A. newspaper B. magazine
C. movie net D. Imax poster
【4】Which of the following is TRUE based on the passage?
A.Zootopia is a romance story about a koala and a giant panda.
B.The film will be released on 4 March 2016 in English and French.
C.You can go to the nearby theater for different 3D versions of Zootopia.
D.Zootopia made different versions which are called “Easter egg-packed”.
【5】Where can we infer (推断) from the User Review?
A.She is a huge Disney fan.
B.She has reviewed 54 Disney animated films.
C.She agrees with the message that the film carries.
D.She does not agree with what Judy Hopps says.
25、 It was Daniel’s first trip to Disney World, and he couldn’t wait to get there.
At first he played all the silly car games with his sister Emily and parents. But there were still hours to get there. “Are we...?”
“No, Daniel,” his father said. “Please try to be patient.”
“Yeah, but this is so boring!” Daniel said.
“It's more than boring,” Emily said.
“You want to hear something about torture(折磨)?” Dad asked. “When I was your age, your grandparents took your aunt Jan and me to travel. About halfway there, we got a flat tire(轮胎). Luckily, we had a spare one, but it took a long time to change it because Grandpa dropped the lug nuts(螺母) and they rolled into the highway. He had to flag down a police car to close the right lane(车道) , so he could get the lug nuts.”
Daniel laughed, “Grandpa must have been really mad!”
“Oh, he wasn’t happy, but it got worse,” Dad said. “About fifty miles later, the engine died. Grandpa tried to fix it but he failed. So he had to walk three miles to get to a pay phone and call for help.”
“What happened next?” Daniel asked.
“We had to pay for a cheap hotel room for the night while the car was in a car repair shop being fixed.” Both Daniel and Emily laughed.
【1】How did Emily like the trip to Disney World at first?
A.She thought it was wonderful. B.She thought it was comfortable.
C.She thought it was dangerous. D.She thought it was very boring.

D.Because he thought he could drive the police car to Disney World.
【3】Who most probably succeeded in fixing the engine at last?
A.Daniel’s grandpa. B.Someone in the cheap hotel.
C.Daniel's father. D.Someone in the car repair shop.

A.Bored. B.Interested. C.Sad. D.Hopeless.
26、 Is there intelligent (有智力的) life on other planets? For years, scientists said “no.” or “we don’t know.” But today this is changing. Seth Shostak and Alexandra Barnett are astronomers(天文学家). They believe intelligent life exists (存在) somewhere in the universe. They also think we sill soon contact these beings(人;生物).
Why do Shostak and Barnett think intelligent life exists on other planets? The first reason is time. Scientists believe the universe is about 12 billion years old. “This is long enough for other planets to have intelligent life,” say Shostak and Barnett. The second reason is size—the universe is huge. “Tools like the Hubble Telescope(哈勃望远镜) have shown that there are at least 100 billion galaxies,” says Shostak. “And our galaxy, the Milky Way, has at least 100 billion stars. Some planets going around these stars might be similar to Earth.”
In the past, it was hard to look for signs of intelligent life in the universe. But now, powerful telescopes allow scientists to discover smaller planets—the size of Mars or Earth—in other solar systems. These planets might have intelligent life.
Have beings from space already visited Earth? “Probably not,” says Shostak. “It’s a long way away. However, intelligent beings may contact us in other way, such as radio signals(信号). In fact, they may be trying to communicate with us now, but we don’t have the right tools to receive their messages. However, this is changing. By 2025, we could make contact with other life forms in our universe and we might help each other.”
【1】 Seth Shostak and Alexandra Barnett are _____.
A. astronomers B. farmers C. singers D. drivers
【2】What is the best title for Paragraph 2?
A. The Age and Size of Earth.
B. Our Galaxy: The Milky Way
C. Why Intelligent Life Might Exist.
D. Earth: The Only Planet with Intelligent Life

A. There were not any smaller planets.
B. There were not any powerful telescopes.
C. The astronomers were not interested in them.
D. The Milky Way didn’t exist at that time.
【4】 Why haven’t beings from space visited us yet according to Shostak?
A. They’re afraid of us.
B. It’s a long way away.
C. They don’t want to see us.
D. They don’t know how to use radio signals.
【5】What does the underlined phrase “life forms” in the last paragraph mean?
A. Messages B. Tools
C. Intelligent beings D. Radio signals
