If you are given only 1 yuan, could you live in a city for one day? It seems this may be a little difficult. But students from Xi' an made it.

On April 10, more than 60 students from the Middle School Attached to Northwestern Polytechnical University took part in the One Yuan Metropolis Survival. 1. Students not only had to live, but they also had to deal with a lot of hard tasks.

2.为了赚钱,无论走到哪里,许多学生努力找寻兼职工作。 In this way, they also saw how hard life was. Zhang Qiyue, 14, asked more than 10 restaurants for a job and finally got one chance. We were upset when they said no. But gradually, we got used to it, he said. After being a waiter for an hour, he got 25 yuan. 3.他们甚至通过在公园唱歌跳舞来赚钱。

Living was hard, but finishing the tasks wasn't any easier. 4. They went to different places to finish tasks in a short time. The most amazing one was when they had to exchange things worth thousands yuan with only a piece of paper in half an hour. "We learned how to persuade others. From a balloon to a cake to a bottle of yogurt... after almost 20 tries, we got an expensive necklace( )," he said. 5. They will give all of the money they made to poor schools in Tibet(西藏).

四、阅读理解 (共4题,共 20分)
  • 24、

If you look at the top of your phone ,you'll usually see a little symbol that says 3G or 4G. The "G" stands for the "generation" of your mobile network. But these symbols will become things of the past after 5G fully arrives.

On March 30th, 2019, Shanghai vice-mayor Wu Qing made the first 5G video call on a Huawei Mate X smartphone, CGTN reported.Shanghai has also become the first city in China to start testing 5G networks.Monaco became the first country in Europe to use a next-generation 5G mobile phone network based on technology from Chinese company Huawei.

It sounds obvious, but it’s important to understand just how much faster 5G is compared to current 4G speeds. 5G will not only be many, many times faster than your existing connection, it will be greatly faster than the broadband connection you have at home.

Now, 4G takes about 100 to 200 milliseconds* to send and receive data. But 5G will get it down to 1 millisecond or less. This big change will not only make our mobile Internet faster. It can be used in many other ways as well.

For example,5G will help to make self-driving cars safer.Today's self driving test cars have one problem lag. When the car"sees"an obstacle*, it sends this information to a data center and receives instructions. However, it takes time to send and receive this information. With this kind of lag, the cars might crash because they don't receive instructions in time. With 5G, this lag will be greatly lowered, making the cars safer, according to CNN.

5G could also be used to power the Internet of Things (IOT). This refers to a large online network that connects all things and people.Fast Internet speeds will be the key to developing this technology. For example, with IOT under 5G, your fridge could automatically* place an order online for eggs when it finds that there are no eggs left inside.

All in all, 5G will shape every type of technology that it touches. And you won't have to wait too long for that to happen. Though we’ve seen a lot of positive progress just in the last year, we still have a long way to go before 5G is anywhere near as common as 4G is right now.

1From Paragraph , we can know that _______.

A.5G is widely used in Shanghai

B.it took lots of efforts to test 5G

C.China and Monaco is working on its 5G networks

D.5G would make it possible to take videos

2The underlined word "lag" probably means " _______" in Chinese.

    A.延迟 B.迷路 C.暂停 D.耗电

3The fridge is mentioned to _______.

    A.describe the importance of IOT

B.encourage people to try the new product

C.introduce how to use the Internet of Things

D.show 5G would make IOT more powerful

4Which of the following would be the best title of the passage

    A.Can 5G Go Far

B.How is 5G Changing Our Life

    C.5G is on the Way

D.China is Leading the World in 5G

"Are you all sick?" I asked suspiciously because they seemed all right.

"Yes," the woman answered in a low voice and lowered her head.

But when it comes to their problems, things got a little strange. Two of the children had headaches, but they didn't hold the head. Two children had earaches, but neither of them could tell me which ear was in pain. The mother complained of a cough, but she seemed to be pretending.

Something was wrong. I didn't say anything but explained that it might take a while before a doctor could meet them. "Take your time, please," the mother answered. I checked their charts-no address. Suddenly I knew, they were homeless and the hospital was warm.
