21、Most of our life is a habit. Habits, good or bad, make you who you are. If you know how to change your habits, then even a small effort (努力) can create big changes. Here are some tips for getting you started.
One Habit for 30 Days. You pay attention to one change for thirty days. After that time it has become a habit. I’ve used this for most of my habit changes. It really works.
One Habit at a Time. A month may seem like a long time for only one change, but I’ve found that trying to change a few habits at a time is reckless. Multitasking (多任务) often means none becomes habits.
Experiment. You can’t know whether a different habit will work until you try it. Mix around with key habits until you find the ones that suit you. Don’t try to follow habits because you should, but because you’ve tested them and they work in your life.
Keep It Simple. Your change should include one or two rules, not a dozen. Exercising once per day for at least thirty minutes is easier to follow than exercising on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays with yoga (瑜伽) the first day and mountain biking the third day.
The best way to break bad habits is to know you have the confidence to do so. Want to learn more? Click here. www.xsjedu.org/

22、Can you imagine astronauts’ everyday life in space? They also need to eat, sleep, exercise and relax. They do the same things as us, but they do them differently.
On Earth, we put food on a plate. Gravity (重力) holds the food down and keeps it in its place. But there is no gravity in space, so food can float away, and astronauts must eat carefully.
Sleeping is very different in space. Some astronauts like to float in the air, but most like to be in a sleeping bag. They tie the bag to a wall so that they won’t float away at night.
Exercise is very important in space. On Earth, your legs carry your body, but in space, astronauts float, so they do not use their legs often. This is very bad for their legs, so they must exercise for thirty minutes every day.

23、I grew up in the countryside. It helped me learn more practical skills than my peers (同龄人) who grew up in cities. I learned to cook at around 10 years old. The first skill I had was making dumplings. At first, I made them too soft and sometimes I made them too hard. But as I keep trying, I learned the trick (窍门).
Later, I cooked fried dishes and things like dumplings. I fell in love with cooking. It’s a good way to relax. More importantly, thanks to my cooking skill, I live better during the pandemic (疫情). Besides cooking, I did a lot of farm work in my childhood. I got to know how to plant vegetables. Though it was hard work, the experience taught me things that many of my peers still don’t know. Some might say we can learn these things from textbooks. ________. It brings a new way to look at the world. You will value everything on your plate.
