24、Dear Audrey,
You are much older now, and hopefully wiser, although sometimes that’s not the case. You have probably forgotten about me.
I’m 12-year-old you feeling terribly nervous and stressed, hating online learning, in this horrible pandemic... I could go on and on. Does this bring any memory back to you?
Anyway, maybe there are time machines in the time where you are, but there aren’t any here, so I’m doing the next best thing: I’m writing you a letter that I hope you read every year on New Year’s Day, or New Year’s Eve.
I’ve come from 2020 to remind you not to forget. I’m sitting on my bed right now, tears still on my face from a fight with my mom ( I love her more than anything or anyone, but we’ve spent too much time together), and aware of the light blue masks hanging on the hooks next to the door in my kitchen. In a way, it still feels like March, when this whole crazy thing started. I’m sick of it.
I am begging you to remember. I didn’t get to spend Thanksgiving with my beloved grandparents, when I’d been waiting so long to act normally(正常地) with them and pod up. Now, it looks like I won’t be spending Christmas with them normally either. In America (where I live), the Coronavirus numbers are higher than they’ve ever been. I am hoping and am going to pray (祈祷) for a Christmas miracle (奇迹), but I have my doubts because I hoped for an Easter miracle and that didn’t happen.
I am having a hard time and would do anything to get out of 2020 and this pandemic, to see my friends and family normally. You are able to do that. You have what I want so badly. So please, I strongly advise you to enjoy your life, your friends, your family, your experiences.
Remember — everything is replaceable and unimportant, but people are the only true thing that matter in this modern-day world.
Love your life, and be filled with joy this year.
Sincerely,
You, age 12, Audrey in 2020, the Pandemic Year.

25、Which of your hands do you use most ? Very few of us use both of our hands well. Most of us are right-handed. Only about five people out of a hundred are left-handed. New-born babies can take things with either of their hands, but in about two years they like to use their right hands. Scientists don’t know why this happens. They have studied it. They think our animal ancestors(祖先) are right-handed. This may not be true. Monkeys are our closest relations in the animal world. Scientists have found that monkeys like to use one of their hands more than the other—but it can be either hand. There are as many right-handed ones. Next time you visit the zoo, watch the monkeys carefully. You’ll see that some of them will swing(摆动)from their right hands and others will use their left hands. But most human beings(人类) use their right hands better and this makes life difficult for the left-handed ones. We live in a right-handed world.

27、Bandhavgarh National park in India is best known for its large biodiversity. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest in the country. In addition to tigers, the park also has a large population of leopards, and various species of deer.
Location: In Madhya Pradesh state, almost 200 kilometers northeast of Jabalpur. The nearest village is Tala, which is the access point of the park.
Opening Hours and Safari Timings
Safaris operate twice a day, starting at dawn until late morning, and mid-afternoon until sunset. The best time to visit the park is early in the morning or after 4 p.m. to spot the animals. The park is closed from July to September due to the monsoon(季风) season.
Bandhavgarh Zones
Bandhavgarh is divided into three main zones: Tala(the park’s best zone, with the most tigers), Magdhi(the second best zone to see tigers), and Khitauli (scenic and less visited, although tiger sightings do occur there; particularly good for birding).
Entry Fees and Charges for Jeep Safaris
Bandhavgarh has become expensive to visit in recent years. Entry fees have increased since October 2014. When going on a safari, separate fees must be paid for park entry and jeep hire. Entry tickets are priced per vehicle(up to six people). For 2015-16, park entry tickets cost as follows:
·Tala Zone: 2,400 rupees for Indians, 4,800 rupees for foreigners. (Up to six people)
·Other Zones: 1,200 rupees for Indians, 2,400 rupees for foreigners. (Up to six people)
Jeep Hire
Expect to pay about 2,200 rupees to hire a jeep, in addition to the entry cost. This can be done at the park entrance. All hotels can arrange jeep hire and tours, but at a higher rate. It’s much less trouble though. Besides, unlike many national parks in India, it’s possible to take private vehicles into Bandhavgarh.
